White Out

I grew up in California {and certainly left me heart there} but beautiful white blankets of snow make me oh-so-happy, and dare I say-- kind of adore Washington. I woke up to 3-4 inches of snow yesterday and I couldn't have been happier! Snow in Seattle = everything shuts down, including school. No classes...hooray!  Since we couldn't drive, I took a nice walk over to one of my best friend's houses {also from California}. After drinking some tea, we ventured out in the snow. It was thrilling and relaxing and inspiring.  These two California girls were loving the snow :) And what a snow day it was.

Thank you, God, for pretty, white snow & good friends.
This was our day...

Happy Thursday! May your day be filled with finding joy in the little things :)
Love,

PS. Welcome to my sponsor Lisa, from Something Pretty!

My sweet friend Lisa writes about all things beautiful...namely, weddings! She offers Wedding Inspiration Board services for brides, in order to help them better visualize what their day could look like! Today she's doing a demo of her services for yours truly :) To be clear, this is for my far-in-the-future-wedding. Nothing in the works yet! Lisa really captured all the things I love...including purple!

  21. HAHAH, wow this makes me giggle ;) I grew up in Maine, and 4 inches of snow was just like any other normal day. It took at least a foot of snow to even make them CONSIDER shutting down school ;) I'm happy for you though that you got a snow day!! Looks like you had a blast xoxo

  22. Could you be any cuter!? Love your photos, looks likes so much fun!

I was born in Cali and moved to WI when I was 11. I remember witnessing my first snow fall and it was crazy! I ran around with my brother having snowball fights haha. But then it snowed all winter long and the temps were below zero. Needless to say I was over it lol. We got about 4 inches today and it was like no big deal even if we just added to the 5 we already had :)
